The Cryopen emits a pressurised, precise jet of nitrous oxide from it’s tip. It is not a painful procedure though some people report a mild and cold stinging sensation though this lasts for seconds. As the treatment doesn’t create a wound, no dressing or aftercare is necessary. Once treated, the ‘tag’ usually crusts over and the healing process begins; this can take 4-6 weeks on average but largely depends on the patient and the specific area treated.
